OUR STORY

Tea shouldn’t be anonymous.

Tea has a story long before it reaches your cup, where it was grown, when it was harvested, and the hands that brought it to life.

At EST8, we believe you should be able to know that story. So we keep our tea close to its source, making every batch traceable from estate to cup.

From one estate, to your cup.

  • 1972 | THE ESTATE

Where it all began.

Long before EST8 existed, our tea was already growing in the hills of Upper Assam. Decades of cultivation, care, and craftsmanship laid the foundation for everything that followed

  • 2005 | OWNERSHIP

We stopped outsourcing trust

By taking direct ownership of the estate, we removed the distance between grower and cup. Every leaf could now be cared for, handled, and traced back to its source.

  • 2018 | THE CRAFT

Quality became the standard.

We committed to producing only the tea we'd proudly drink ourselves ; grown in our own estate, harvested with care, and handled at source to preserve its character.

  • 2026 | EST8

Tea shouldn't be anonymous.

Today, every batch can be traced back to the estate it came from. Because knowing your tea should be just as natural as drinking it.

THE ESTATES

Two Estates.
Decades of tea-growing tradition.

EST8 begins at the soil.
Each leaf comes from our own gardens in Tinsukia, Upper Assam. We own and operate the source, so we know exactly where each harvest comes from, how it is grown, and how it becomes the tea in your cup.

A legacy of Assam Tea, grown with care.

The same soil and hands, a different profile.

THE PEOPLE

The hands behind every harvest.

Tea begins long before it reaches the cup. Across our estates, around 700–800 women are involved in plucking the leaf, bringing generations of practical knowledge and familiarity with the gardens into each harvest.

They know the pace of the seasons, the gardens they work in, and the leaf they hand-pluck. Their work is part of the craft, and part of what makes our tea traceable to its origin.

Know where your tea comes from.

We keep the journey closer to the source, so every cup has a story you can trace.

Two Collections.
One Tea Philosophy.

  • EST8

Our original collection of estate-direct Assam teas, rooted in where the leaf comes from. From Pure Assam Tea to Masala Chai, each is shaped by its origin, harvest and character.

  • SAAH by EST8

A collection of black tea-based blends created for the moments that quietly shape our days. Morning focus, evening unwinding, or a pause after a meal — each blend has its own ritual.

THE PRINCIPLES

What We Stand On

• 01 •

Ownership

We own the estates behind our tea. No anonymous suppliers, no auction buying, our relationship with the leaf starts at the source.

• 02•

Traceability

Every batch has a visible origin. Estate, harvest and leaf character are disclosed, so you know exactly where your tea comes from.

• 02•

Origin & Craft

Climate, harvest season and processing shape every cup. We preserve that connection between place, craft and character.

• 04•

People

Tea is made by people before it reaches you. The hands that grow, pluck and process our leaves are part of the story we choose to tell.

Frequently Asked Questions

Estate-direct means our tea comes directly from the estates behind EST8, rather than being aggregated from multiple farms or bought at auction. It keeps the journey from source to cup closer and more transparent.

Our tea is sourced from our own tea estates in Assam, where the tea is grown, harvested and processed close to its source.

Morning Clarity is the morning blend, created for focused mornings and clear thinking. Bright citrus, Assam black tea, rosemary, brahmi, ginger and lemon verbena come together for a fresh, uplifting cup suited to steady attention and creative flow.

Calm After Dark is the evening blend, created for relaxed evenings, reading, reflection and unwinding. Chamomile, tulsi, lavender, lemon balm and rose petals give the Assam black tea a soft, floral and quietly settling character.

Gut Refuel is the post-meal blend, inspired by Indian digestive traditions. Fennel, lemongrass, ginger, black pepper and cardamom create a warm, aromatic cup designed to be enjoyed after eating and during everyday reset moments.

Second flush is the harvest season in Assam, that follows the first rains. The combination of strong summer sun and monsoon rain gives the leaves their fuller body, deeper colour and a naturally malty character.

EST8 is our estate-direct tea collection, featuring Pure Assam Tea and Masala Chai. These are loose-leaf teas you can brew the classic Indian way; with milk or sweetened as you like.

Saah is our blend house, where Assam black tea is thoughtfully combined with botanicals, herbs and spices to create blends designed around different moments and rituals throughout the day.

Keep your tea sealed and stored in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight and strong aromas.

Each tea has its own recommended brewing temperature and steeping time. Follow the brewing guide provided on the individual product for the intended cup.

EST8 keeps the origin of every batch visible. Each tea has a Batch Identity built around its estate, harvest, flush season and processing source. These details tell you where your tea comes from and what shaped it. So you can trace the tea in your cup back to the garden it began in

Many teas in the market are blended from leaves sourced across different estates, regions or harvests. This can create a consistent flavour, but it can also make the tea's exact origin harder to identify.

EST8 takes a different approach: our teas are estate-direct and single-origin, so you can know exactly where your tea comes from.
